It is one of a kind in Bulgaria and the country has a host as one of the European countries with developed mining industry and a significant experience in prospecting and exploration of mineral resources.

Partners inorganizing EMBF are the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Bulgaria and the European Association of Mining Industries, Metal Ores and industrial minerals.

Patron of the event traditionally is the Minister of Economy and Energy of the Republic of Bulgaria.

So far four successful editions of EMBF are conducted with nearly 900 participants from more than fifteen European countries. Speakers at the Forum were senior representatives of the European and national institutions responsible for the industry, prominent experts, scholars and heads of leading companies from the sector.

Until 2012 the Forum was known as the “International Conference on Sustainable development of Mining industry in Europe” Since 2014 the event was named European mining business forum.

Our objective

EMBF is a platform for discussion, exchange of ideas, solutions and best practices in all aspects of sustainable development in the sector. The forum aims to show the key role, importance and place of the mining industry, to be discussed condition, innovations, policies and the future of this important economic sector of Europe. We are trying to attract more participants engaged in an open dialogue on the most important and topical issues that concern not only the mining industry but also the entire European community.
